Charles Darwin and Natural Selection

June 11, 2009

We all know the origional ideas of evolution with Charles Darwin and the Galapagos islands and the pea flower, of how we originated from apes and that over time we mutated genetically and became human. As i read on about the basics that you learn in biology i ran across some weird information… one of the origional thinker s of the theory of evolution was a Roman Catholic priest

Alright back to creation, the whole fact that there are two main ideas completly threw me off! I was surprised that i never knew this and i called myself Roman Catholic. haha  I kept reading and found out that there were two boys Cain and Abel who were born from the so called Adam and Eve. And from them their descendants follwed naming cities Enoch and what not. All of this happening way before Noah’s time and the Ark. By this time i was confused so i walked over to the living room and asked my brother, he’s a teacher voluntarily at our church. This is when i realized how priviledged i was, my position between the two was sort of a combination while my brother’s was completely creation. …

Big BANG theory

June 11, 2009

The entire big bang theory is basically the idea that the earth was origionallya hot extremely dense ball that expanded over the years and exploded. This concept is trying to be proved recently through the large Hadron Collider.

Research Complete!! Over the course of discovering who i really am i found out that with the right methods i can do anything.  I learned that i can be a teamplayer and an outstanding individual. I learned that i have the potential to move people with my words. In addition, i found out that i learn best through music and hands-on activities. Thanks Mr. Hill for permitting us to learn more about ourselves, and how to reach our full potential. Hopefully this information will make studying easier in the future.

I can work in a group just as well as i can work by myself. i tie with intrapersonal and interpersonal. I like to work with people but every now and then i just need my time to breathe. A time to think for myself, know what i’m doing, know the life that i ‘m leading and know everything else about myself, a time to reflect on who i truly am. WoW i always wondered how i worked better and according to the quiz i took i so equally bad or equally well in both.

I’m “word smart” i can mess with words to make an audience believe what i want them to. I have the power of speech, the power of diction, one of the most powerful powers out there. Verbal-Linguistic is another one of my intelligences, people that are “word smart” like to chat, email, they like reading , writing, and listening to powerful speeches. I need to start reading a dictionary again, ahahah I need to improve my speech-making skills so that i can be a top notch speaker, hopefully, fingers crossed research continues…

One of my other high multiple intelligences after taking the quiz that Anna has a link to is Interpersonal. Ilike working in a group of people  and apparently i have  a talent at getting people energized and motivated. In a way i agree because people have told me that i have a lot of energy and that how i speak encourages people but i need to keep testing myself out, to see if i can handle group presentations easily and so forth. This is cool because i’m in the renaissance commitee and my taking part in the committe will help me stimulate this intelligence even further, so that i can truly be a “people-friendly” person later on in life.

One of my multiple intelligences is Existential, i got a 10 in that category.  An existential person has that ability to be able to paint the bigger picture when given the time. They like connecting things to something universal. Which is pretty funny because everytime something is being explained to me i usually respond “OH! like….” i connect things constantly whether its in normal conversation or in lectures. The qualities of someone that is existential hit me spot on. Another trait of an existential person is that they have a strong connection to family and friends. It’s true that i am pretty reliant on my family and friends because when faced with a prblem i like to ask and tell people about it, i don’t like keeping it in. I’ve tried keeping it and it didn’t work out for me. For the existential person something that can stimulate this intelligence is blogging which is pretty ironic, im blogging! research continues….

Creation …

June 10, 2009

So i initiated my research, i started with the fundementals , if you want to know the truth start from the roots. I walked to my bookshelf and grabbed my bible, i was actually going to read the beginning for the first time in my life. hahah not good. I opened it up and was skeptical as soon as i read the first sentence, “IN the beginning when God created the heavens and the Earth, the Earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.” ( I was determined to not be biased as i opened and read the bible seeing as how i’m Roman Catholic, even though i have some weird ideas. ) Okay so i read that and said who is this God person? Where did he come from? I looked at the bible and was like wait what? The bible has two stories of creation and to me i was astounded! I had always thought that the whole creation was just something about someone named Adam and Eve and some tree. But wait!!! here i was staring at the bible with my own two eyes and after finishing reading a story of creation that i recall nothing about was surprised to see the next subheading read : Second Story of Creation. I stopped in my tracks and went into the living room to get that bible, maybe it was only mine, nope, that bible read: Another Account of the creation. I read both accounts from both bibles and was amazed. The first story is about how god wanted something done and he did it and it was good, he wanted something else done, it was done and it was good, and how the earth , sky and waters came first and then man and woman. How he just wanted everything and it appeared, and how it took him a total of 7 days to create the world including the 7th day, or the sabbath in which he rested and rejoiced that the world was finished. I sat there staring blankly at the scripture…. what? was all i could think about. I read the second story ah, it was more familiar A wonderful hill filled with trees including the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A man was placed in this hill and commanded by God to eat anything except for a fruit form that tree.  God thought that man was lonely and thus he decided to make a companion for man. So he made animals, man named all of them but there was no partner for him. God put this man into a deep slumber and while he slept took one of his ribs , closed the hole with flesh, and created woman from that hijacked rib. ( That’s a bit creepy isn’t it?) Man agreed that since it was of his bones an flesh that woman was the true partner, and thats why in marriage they become one. They hugged and all was well until they were tempted by a serpent to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil . Woman took a fruit and fed it to her husband. They realized they were naked and hid from god, they wereashame dof themselves. God got angry made childbearing difficult, made the serpent slither, and man was forced to work in hard streneous labor. They were told : “by the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were  taken; you are dust and to dust you shall return” Then he kicked Adam and Eve out of the hill. OUCH, i thought, i never really knew all the details,… I continued reading and found out that these people had children and those people had children , and then came NOah and what not, everything that i thought i knew expanded like a balloon with increasing atmospheric pressure. WOW… i decided to take a break and check out some science….

GOd?

June 10, 2009

Which theory of origin do you believe? Do you believe entirely on creation or entirely on evolution? Or are you somewher in the middle like i think i am? My theory , is that yes there haas to have been some sort of higher deity, a God if you want to say but not that he created mankind just like that, i believe that there is him but that maybe he made something, not fully man just yet and that mankind evolved from that. My logic is weird hopefully you’ll understand what im trying to say better in the later blogs.
